Principal Herman Douglas is a husband, father, social activist, TEDx and Principal of Cassidy Academic Plus. Mr. Douglas started his career in 1997 in public education and made a positive impact on student and staff lives at:

Herman’s fundamental purpose is to promote student achievement among all children. Servant leadership and instructional practices such as collaboration, student voice, data-driven instruction, culturally relevant pedagogy, and trauma-informed classrooms are Mr. Douglas’s drivers for school growth. Ultimately, Mr. Douglas’s goal is to recruit, train, and retain educators to transform urban education while unapologetically focusing on the success of marginalized communities. Herman received his bachelor of education from West Chester University and a Master of Education from Penn State. Herman is writing his dissertation on Improving the Effectiveness of Hybrid Learning for Black Middle Years Students at Gwynedd Mercy University.
